It generates the download links for Google Trends and to be able to download the files you need to be signed in to Google.

Not for the downloadable CSV. But you can of course aggregate the data on a monthly level once you've downloaded it. Here's the github repo with the R functions for easy formating: https://github.com/321k/Google-Trends/blob/master/Google%20Trends%20functions

Thanks! I haven't implemented that yet. It will come with the next release. I'll include a data parser as well, including functionality for stitching together files to get daily data for more than 90 days.
